    2022 grants included Legacy grants totaling $540,000 over three years to 11 organizations; Animal Welfare Society received three-year grant totaling $120,000; Preble Street received $130,000 including $90,000 capital grant for new food security hub in South Portland. Available 2025 funding for Lewiston-Auburn: $1,710,000.

    Organizations may submit one application per calendar year through online grant system. Multi-year grant recipients must wait until current grant ends. Rapid Response Fund uses two-step process starting with email inquiry to rapidresponse@sewallfoundation.org. Applications accepted only during specific periods for each program. Must create online account first.

    Does not fund private for-profit enterprises, cooperatives, individuals, or operating endowments. Organizations limited to one application per calendar year. 501(c)(4) organizations require additional considerations. Additional materials cannot be sent to augment applications.
