The mission of the John Ben Snow Foundation & Memorial Trust is to make grants within specific geographic regions of the United States across a range of programs with a focus on closing the opportunity gap for individuals who are under-resourced. Two-step process: Letter of Inquiry must be submitted via Online Grant Application System between December 1st and February 1st. If approved, Grant Application instructions sent and full application due by April 1st via Online Grant Application System. Applicants notified by July 1st.
Will not accept proposals from individuals or for-profit organizations. Does not encourage proposals from religious organizations, government agencies, or proposals for endowments, contingency funding, or debt reduction. Generally does not seek proposals for health care initiatives or animal welfare programs. Geographic focus primarily on Central New York (Onondaga County and surrounding counties).
