    The DICK'S Sporting Goods Foundation is a tax exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation with a mission to inspire and enable sports participation. The foundation's mission is to inspire and enable youth participation in sports. Sports build character, increase confidence, motivate kids to stay in school and aim for higher education; teaching life lessons that extend well beyond the playing field.

    Funded Initiatives

    Since 2014, Sports Matter Program has helped over 2 million kids and committed over $100 million for equipment, registration fees, league costs and playing fields. Game On-Community Places to Play initiative (with LISC) deployed nearly $3 million to build or renovate 35 sports facilities in 28 cities. Celebrated 10-year anniversary with new $2 million grant initiative in 2024.

    Must be for youth sports league or organization in community with DICK'S Sporting Goods store presence. Requests must be under $25,000 for grants or under $250 for smaller sponsorships. Cannot be for religious or political organizations, individuals, scholarships, or political campaigns/candidates. Submission does not guarantee approval.
