WCN protects endangered species and preserves their natural habitats by supporting entrepreneurial conservationists who pursue innovative strategies for people and wildlife to co-exist and thrive. WCN employs three core strategies—supporting the most effective Conservation Partners with the funding and resources they need to protect wildlife, creating Wildlife Funds that provide flexible grants to a wide range of organizations that protect a specific species across its entire range, and investing in the education and career growth of Rising Wildlife Leaders.
Elephant Crisis Fund, Lion Recovery Fund ($141 million raised to date), Pangolin Crisis Fund, Emergency Relief Fund, Sea Otter Fund, Rwanda Wildlife Conservation Association grey crowned crane protection (1,293 cranes recorded), Wildlife Trust of India pangolin protection (252 village commitments), Rising Wildlife Leaders scholarship program (174 conservationists across 46 countries), $2 million grant for wildlife habitat acquisition in Santa Clara County
Partnership applications are by invitation only. Organizations are introduced to WCN team via email, call, or in-person, then begin sharing financial and programmatic reports. WCN conducts site visits and establishes fiscal sponsor relationships. Contact partnership@wildnet.org for partnership inquiries.
