    Mission

    To preserve for the public an area reflecting the traditional environment of Indian Hill and its historical significance by preserving Greenacres in its current state of woodland and farmland. To encourage conservation and appreciation of nature by providing the public, particularly children, opportunities to study plant and animal life in their natural settings. To encourage appreciation of music and culture by providing facilities and an atmosphere that will encourage artists to display their talents for all age groups.

    How to Apply

    Two-step grant process where applicants first submit a 1-page Letter of Intent (LOI) describing the proposed research project. All letters reviewed within 2 weeks. For projects receiving additional consideration, applicants receive link to complete detailed Request for Proposal (RFP) with 6-week deadline for Ecology & Environment grants and two months for Agriculture grants. Applications open early 2026 with June 1-August 1 application period for Greater Cincinnati nonprofits.

    Does Not Fund

    GAF does not pay institutional facilities & administrative (F&A) fees or indirect costs. All funds must be applied toward proposed research project unless otherwise approved in writing. Researchers must be from domestic non-profit (501c3) organizations. Transportation reimbursement limited to Title I funded groups or 75% free/reduced lunch groups under age 18. Periodic limitations to accessing the land as it is a working farm.
