The mission of The Cleveland-Cliffs Foundation is to have a positive impact in the areas where Cleveland-Cliffs operates by partnering with and investing in non-profit organizations that enhance educational opportunities, protect and improve the environment, promote human health, and support vibrant communities.
In February 2025, Cleveland-Cliffs employees donated more than 415,000 pounds of non-perishable food items during the annual Souper Bowl Food Drive with The Cleveland-Cliffs Foundation donating $250,000 to more than 40 organizations working with food insecure individuals and families; Over the last ten years, Cleveland-Cliffs and the Cleveland-Cliffs Foundation have committed over $3.4 million dollars to increase high-quality educational opportunities for underserved children in Cleveland; The Cleveland-Cliffs Foundation pledged $500,000 of new funding to support Boys and Girls Clubs serving host communities.
The Foundation will offer two grant cycles in 2025. April 4 – LOIs must be submitted by March 21 to be considered at this deadline date. Those who have been invited to submit a full proposal can submit at any time prior to April 4, 2025. September 12 – LOIs must be submitted by August 29 to be consider at this deadline date. Those who have been invited to submit a full proposal can submit at any time prior to September 12.
