    The Marion G. Resch Foundation was created to enable area youth to reach their potential and become influential leaders in the community. The foundation is engaged in two main activities: the granting of college scholarships and supporting Early Identification Programs designed to help high school students successfully cross the bridge to higher education.

    Since 2004, The Marion G. Resch Foundation has awarded over $18 million dollars to students in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties, and provided $1,556,351 in grants in 2024. Recent major gift of $400,000 to Youngstown State University for scholarships in the 2022-2023 academic year. Total donations to YSU have exceeded $5 million over 20 years, supporting approximately 2,500 students.
