    RRF Foundation for Aging (formerly The Retirement Research Foundation) supports projects that enhance the quality of life for older people. For more than 40 years, RRF Foundation for Aging has been a steadfast supporter of programs and research that significantly improve the quality of life for older people. The Foundation focuses on improving the quality of life for older people through strategic grantmaking. They amplify age-forward solutions and innovate to proactively find and fund efforts that improve the quality of life of older people.

    How to Apply

    All applicants must submit a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) via online grant portal before being invited to submit full proposal. LOI deadlines: November 1 (for February 5 proposal deadline), February 1 (for May 5 proposal deadline), May 1 (for August 5 proposal deadline). LOIs accepted until 11:59 PM (CT). If invited, applicants have one year after LOI deadline to submit. Use Firefox, Safari, or Microsoft Edge (not Chrome). Those not invited must wait one year to resubmit for same project.

    Does Not Fund

    Projects not intentionally focused on older people age 60+; Projects outside United States; General operating expenses without significant strategy changes; Biomedical research, basic theory development, or R&D for new technology; Construction, capital improvements, or computer equipment; Conferences, publications, films unless integral to larger project; Dissertation research, tuition, education for undergrad/grad students; Endowments, capital campaigns, fundraising events; Government agencies except state universities, AAAs, VA programs. Must wait 1 year to resubmit same project if not invited/funded. Only one LOI per grant cycle.
