    Funded Initiatives

    Defending the Dream Fund: 84 grants totaling over $1 million since early 2017. 2018 DDF grantees support immigrants and workers rights, environmental protections, Native rights and sovereignty, structural racism and Islamophobia challenges, reproductive care access, LGBTQ rights, voting rights, and civic engagement infrastructure. Healing Justice Initiative: Small grants of up to $10,000 per organization since 2018.

    GSF makes grants twice per year, in the spring and fall. As a small foundation with limited resources, they prioritize multi-year grants to their long-term partners. GSF is not currently taking on any new grants through open intake.
