    Feeding America West Michigan partners with over 800 agencies throughout their 40-county service area to get food directly into the hands of those in need. It costs over $9.7 million annually to operate the food bank. The organization is currently running a "Bridge the Gap" campaign to address rising food insecurity. Demand for charitable food has increased 70.7 percent since 2021.

    The food bank will not accept gifts that would result in certain restrictions. Decisions on the restrictive nature of a gift, and its acceptance or refusal, are made by the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees in consultation with the President and CEO. The President and CEO has the authority to decline a gift if they determine it is not in the best interest of the food bank.
