The Mission of the Foundation is to provide resources to nonprofit organizations that build thriving communities and improve the quality of life primarily in the St. Croix Valley geographic region of Minnesota and Wisconsin. With the goal of being a guiding hand and supporter of community health and stability, the founders believed in the importance of helping the underserved and under-resourced and in being a quiet leader in building healthy strong communities.
The Foundation has established a focused set of priorities and welcomes requests for general operations, programs, or projects. Capital requests may be considered on a more limited basis. Foundation began offering online grant applications in 2023.
Beginning in 2023, The Fred C. & Katherine B. Andersen Foundation is pleased to extend the opportunity to apply for grant funding online. Please register in the portal and confirm eligibility by answering questions about organizational priorities and service areas. Contact info@fkandersen.org or (651-583-8485) for program questions.
The Foundation does not provide funding for endowments, individuals, political campaigns, sponsorships, or lobbying activities. Geographic limitations to St. Croix Valley region though consideration may be given to organizations outside the footprint if they deliver services addressing funding priorities.
