    How to Apply

    The foundation accepts unsolicited concept proposals from nonprofits, but grantseekers must first take the foundation's online eligibility quiz before submitting a letter of inquiry, and if approved, applicants will be invited to submit a full application; The application process is a two-stage process that begins with scheduling a Letter of Inquiry (LOI) Discussion with Halle Foundation Staff; Following the LOI discussion, applicants have 2-4 weeks to submit their LOI; Applicants are notified via email 2-4 weeks later if their LOI is approved; Organizations submit a full application for approved concepts, followed by an organizational interview and Board of Directors review; The Foundation has three grant cycles per year; The board meets to review proposals three times per year in February, May, and October. Organizations must be in operation with 501(c)(3) status for at least 3 years (preferably 5), have filed Form 990 with the IRS within the last year, have audited financial statements within the last 18 months, be headquartered in Arizona with majority of staff, services, and funding in Arizona, and have an annual cash budget of minimum $1,000,000 or more.
