    $18 million in grant funding for a diverse group of organizations filling critical needs across Rhode Island, awarded 188 grants to meet pressing demands related to social services, education, historic preservation, arts and culture. Recent recipients include 25 first-time grantees. Foundation has awarded more than $600 million to Rhode Island non-profit organizations, primarily to fund capital projects.

    How to Apply

    Organizations apply through web-based grant application hosted by Foundant Technologies. Two grant application cycles available. Organizations must have had 501c3 status or fiscal sponsor for at least 3 years. Grants awarded for purchase of equipment, construction, renovations, or purchase of real estate.

    Does Not Fund

    Interior repairs for houses of worship including fire safety, handicap accessibility, or building mechanicals not funded. No stained glass windows for houses of worship. No multiple unrelated components or general needs for education. No funding for operating expenses or programmatic costs - focus on capital projects only. Houses of worship and public schools can only apply during Cycle Two.
