    The Foundation's mission centers on ensuring Atlanta's young people are equipped with the education, confidence and care necessary to contribute to a bright future. The Sartain Lanier Family Foundation has supported mission-driven organizations in metro Atlanta since 1963, and today funds and collaborates with organizations expanding and enhancing literacy instruction, afterschool and summer programs, and college and career readiness for K-12 students.

    Three-step process: (1) Submit LOI through online portal, (2) Site visit if requested, (3) Full application if invited. Two grantmaking cycles annually (spring and fall). LOI limited to 750 words covering organization purpose, population served, and funding request focus. Pre-application meetings available for qualifying organizations.

Geographic limitation: metro Atlanta's five core counties (Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton, Gwinnett). Not establishing new relationships with independent schools.
