    Two grant cycles per year (Spring and Fall deadlines posted on website). Pre-request similar to LOI may be required. Medical research institutions may submit one application each grant cycle.     Community/health/education organizations outside Kleberg County and adjoining South Texas counties not funded. Capital projects rarely supported. Projects beyond 3 years generally not considered. Animal shelters/zoos/rehabilitation not eligible unless previously funded. Medical research not accepting new organizations without funding in past 10 years.
