    Foundation Overview

    Mission

    To support the completion of post-secondary education in Maine and to provide scholarships and support to graduates of Maine public high schools attending Maine colleges. The Foundation is committed to empowering the next generation of Mainers as they shape the future of the state by awarding scholarships annually to graduates of partner high schools who plan to enroll full-time at one of their partner colleges or universities.

    Class of 2022: $7 million in scholarships to eligible graduates from 59 high schools; 2022: welcomed 403 new scholars with $6.4 million of awarded financial support; 2023: $3,236,664 in grants; awarded 215 college scholarships totaling $3.4 million to mid-coast and Down East students

    How to Apply

    Applications accepted January 1-April 15, 2025. Must file FAFSA with SAI of 30,000 or less. Must be accepted to partner Maine college. Must start college in fall after high school graduation and enroll in at least 12 credits. Application includes eligibility questions and personal information.

    Does Not Fund

    Must maintain 12+ credits and 2.0 GPA each semester. If requirements not met, placed on probation without funding.
