Founded in 1997 by Dr. John C. Malone and his family, with one principal initial objective: to improve access to quality education – particularly at the secondary school level — for highly capable students who lack the financial resources to best develop their talents.
Malone Scholars Program with scholarship endowments to 50 independent secondary schools throughout the United States. Also funded the development of Stanford Online High School which opened in 2006.
The Foundation does not accept unsolicited proposals and has indicated it only makes contributions to preselected charitable organizations. Scholarships are NOT available directly from the Malone Family Foundation - must apply through individual partner schools.
The Foundation does not accept unsolicited proposals. The complement of 50 Malone Schools is complete and no additional schools will be selected.
