    How to Apply

Applications through online grant portal. For certain grants like the Preserving Families grant, first step is to complete a Letter of Intent (LOI) application through the online grant portal. LOI submissions outside of the grant portal will not be considered. Applicants who are invited by PetSmart Charities after LOI review can then complete a full application in the grant portal. Administrative costs are limited to no more than 10% of the total grant request. Maximum grant given in the U.S. is $75,000 and $40,000 in Canada.

    Does Not Fund

Administrative costs are limited to no more than 10% of the total grant request. PetSmart Charities does not provide funding support for traditional capital campaigns. To more effectively serve pets, we now support a more holistic approach to Improving Accessible Veterinary Care, which may include spay/neuter activities but does not fund spay/neuter-only programs. Please note, PetSmart Charities does not accept unsolicited requests for funding.
